"Mother"

Author: Huseyn Javid

Running time: 1 hour 5 minutes

The play explores maternal love, humanity, patriotism, and moral values. The mother figure in the work symbolizes self-sacrifice, compassion, pure love, and, above all, humanism. Throughout the play, Salma, the mother, does not kill or punish her son's murderer; instead, she forgives him. She believes that if she were to kill him, her son's soul would hate her. Thus, the play brings together themes of love, conscience, and humanism.
