How do people become mice?.. And at what point do mice themselves turn into predators?..

What can force a person to give up their dreams, dignity, and hope — a small piece of land, a piece of bread, the fear of loneliness, or the threat of life imprisonment?

“Of Mice and Men” is a story about human friendship, dreams, and a harsh reality in which not everyone manages to preserve their humanity. The characters search for their place in the world, cling to simple hopes, and believe that one day they will find a home, freedom, and peace. Yet life repeatedly confronts them with choices where the price of a single mistake may be unbearably high.

Where is the line between kindness and cruelty, weakness and strength, human and beast? What happens to people when fear, poverty, and despair begin to dictate their own rules?

To live as a human being — or simply to survive? To remain human — or become part of a world where the strong always defeat the weak?..
