The fate of the artist
Theatre- Academic Russian Drama Theater
- 14 May 2026 - 14 May 2026
“The Fate of an Artist” is a powerful драмatic performance dedicated to Huseyn Arablinski.
Whenever he stepped onto the stage, the audience fell silent. Huseyn Arablinski was one of those rare individuals for whom theatre was not merely a profession, but a way of breathing. Yet such devotion always comes with a price — and that price is often far greater than expected.
Director Irana Tagizade presents not a biography, but the inner world of a man who chose the stage and never regretted it, even when perhaps he should have. References to William Shakespeare and Nikolai Gogol, the brilliance of the spotlight, and the harsh realities of the early twentieth century intertwine into a story that ends tragically, yet not without hope.
“The Fate of an Artist” is a performance about what it truly means to serve — not a position, not success, but something far greater than oneself.
