Duration: 1 hour 5 minutes
Language: Azerbaijani

Synopsis:
The play portrays, with great mastery, the emotions and inner turmoil of a man sentenced to death as he faces his final day. Its central aim is to expose the tragic reality of the death penalty. Alongside the execution itself, the play highlights the cruelty and mercilessness of certain parts of society. Even today, there are places in the world where, as Hugo describes, laws remain vile and degrading. Such laws inflict not only physical pain but also deep spiritual suffering. Death is inevitable for all — yet knowing the exact moment of one’s death can be more terrifying than death itself.
