The «Молчи и танцуй» Theatre presents a new interpretation of the tale of The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, where the aesthetics of theatrical art meet the expressive energy of street dance.

When I turned to Hoffmann’s original story, the phrase that captivated me most was found at its very end: “…where, if only you have eyes to see, you will discover wonders and marvels everywhere.” I reread these words and began to reflect on how our perception of beauty depends on our ability to notice it, on whether we truly “have eyes” to see.

Inspired by these reflections, my colleagues and I immersed ourselves in the creative process. When we emerged from it, we realized that our performance “The Nutcracker” is about the great beauty that can only be seen with the heart, about the difficult yet important ability to accept someone who is different from you, and about the fact that each of us is capable of creating our own story filled with wonder and magic.
