On 26 September, a candlelight concert dedicated to Hans Zimmer, Ludovico Einaudi and Ennio Morricone — three of the most distinguished composers in world cinema and contemporary classical music — will take place at the Chamber and Organ Music Hall of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic.

Ennio Morricone — a legend of film music. The composer left an indelible mark on cinema history with his scores for unforgettable films such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Cinema Paradiso and Once Upon a Time in America.

From London to Paris and New York to Istanbul, candlelight concerts have captivated millions of people in historic venues worldwide. For the past two years, these concerts have also been held in Baku and across the regions of Azerbaijan. 🌍

Note 1. Candlelight Ensemble is a specially selected musical ensemble formed by Candlelight Baku, Baku’s first local candlelight concert project. It features piano, percussion and an expanded string section comprising violin, viola, cello and double bass.

Featuring laureates of international and national competitions, as well as Honoured Artists, the ensemble represents the highest level of professional musicianship.
